The Double Degree in Forestry Engineering and Nature Conservation is a new academic proposal from the University of Lleida, aimed at the sustainable management of some terrestrial natural resources.
This double degree aims to complete the training of forestry engineers, by delving deeper into the analysis of processes and the diagnosis of problems. It grants the legal competencies to exercise the profession of Forestry Engineer (regulated in Order 324/2009 of the Mº de Ciencia e Innovación) while providing extensive and specialized training.
The main knowledge areas promoted are the conservation of species of flora and fauna, regulation of public use in protected areas, restoration of areas altered by human activity, the resolution of social conflicts arising from the use of natural resources, etc. Teaching is designed under an applied approach and includes practical placements.
